Ted has enjoyed thirty-five years of pastoral ministry in four Pennsylvania and Virginia churches.  Before this, he worked in telecommunications and insurance and received his Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary in his native Southern California.  Ted retired from full time church ministry, last serving as a church planting pastor at Pillar Church of Stafford VA.   He brings to the leadership of Friendship Baptist Church his love for the people of God, his years of church leadership, and his training as a Transitional Pastor with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia. 

 Ted & Genean have been married 46 years and have three daughters and one grandchild.  Ted & Genean have had an open home ministry, with dozens in need living with them over the years.  They are currently serving numerous Afghan refugees in the Stafford area and are catalysts for ministry to Muslims through hospitality evangelism.
